Gallery 4710 presents Tornike Robakidze's solo show and Artist Books 'Sometimes Heaven is a Sad Story' - presentation.
The exhibition will be opened on April 23 and will last for a week.
'Sometimes heaven is a sad story. But, only sometimes and only when you see this story as a story and heaven as a heaven.
In fact, the heavenly saddness may be the very thing that provokes you to do something, to create.
Here begins the stories of my works. Stories, that are sedimented feelings of the distant past or the recent past. Feelings that turn into paintings or words on the surface of creativity.
The artistic language that I use is very transparent, it is a conduit for poetry. It is a poem that cannot be expressed in words, although it is a representation of an animal, a bird, or some abstract, mythological creature of its own, - others beside, I must be there everywhere, because I am every painted form or object.
These fiction scenes are one big metaphor for the real stories, a disguise for one's own poem, the course of time - it was better to draw. But these are the verses that I have to say here, by which, not my words, they will certainly be sought elsewhere. On the pages of magazines, in interviews, or in reviews, they found and became poems in the seconds it was necessary to quote them, they remembered the trains that were in me.
Other people's words are also mine, and I realized that it turns out that they are not other people's either.
Tornike Robakidze was born in 1995 in Tbilisi. In 2013-2017, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Georgia. 2017-2019 at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, at the Master's Faculty of Fine Arts, the use of painting. Tornike's work in a variety of mediums. The works presented at the exhibition were made in recent years and are the first financing of the year.

თორნიკე რობაქიძე დაიბადა 1995 წელს, თბილისში. 2013-2017 წლებში სწავლობდა საქართველოს ტექნიკური უნივერსიტეტის არქიტექტურის ფაკულტეტზე. 2017-2019 კი თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამხატვრო აკადემიაში, სახვითი ხელოვნების მაგისტრატურის ფაკულტეტზე, ფერწერის მიმართულებით. თორნიკეს შემოქმედება მედიუმების მრავალფეროვნებით გამოირჩევა. გამოფენაზე წარმოდგენილი ნამუშევრები ბოლო წლის განმავლობაშია შესრულებული და პირველად იფინება.
